    Disney+ The Mandalorian

Oh my, The Mandalorian may not be the best show I watch every week, but no other show gives me the same rush of nostalgia, Easter eggs, action, comic relief, and cuteness overload. At times, it induces a state of euphoria that feels like an out of body experience. I must point out that they...

Deleted for being so late to the game

My favorite Easter egg was the backpack rocket. Turns out it's more than just a choking hazard. https://www.thewrap.com/star-wars-boba-fett-auction/

Pedro Pascal does the voice of The Mandalorian and performs on set inside the suit sometimes.

Lucas cribbed like crazy, but this was like a book report version of Seven Samurai. And if you're saying Favreau is paying proper homage to Lucas by copying other works, that doesn't seem like the proper way to pay homage. For me, the corny slapstick is the best homage to Lucas, not mining other...

    Disney+ The Mandalorian

This is the first episode that didn't feel like a video game. As mentioned previously, it felt like a Star Trek episode with the cold open. I got a lot of Voyager vibes from it I hope Favreau didn't run out of steam as the season progressed. What turned me off was how nakedly it cribbed from...

While that cake looks awesome, it's nowhere near as adorable as Baby Yoda. It's more Yoda than Baby Yoda.

    Disney+ The Mandalorian

You hit the nail on the head for me as to why this feels so much like a video game. I was trying to think why this show and not every action vehicle has this playable section and cutscene pacing, and it's because it all centers around one character.

Baby Yoda is so instantly endearing that I was getting more and more anxious every moment Mando wasn't going back for him. The show is called The Madalorian, but for me it's all about Baby Yoda.

The scenes with dialog and exposition really feel like cut scenes. Then he goes back into playable mode and goes silent. The sandcrawler scene, aside from being an element in the SNES Star Wars game, feels like one of those levels where you climb up while avoiding things from above hitting you...

It struck me that the narrative structure for The Mandalorean is the same as a video game. Chapter 2 was a fetch quest with a mini-boss fight. Baby Yoda is an NPC you have to protect (although it follows without prompting and generally stays out of trouble).

    Disney+ The Mandalorian

I giggled a lot at how adorable baby Yoda was. Baby Yoda eating a frog is the kind of gag Lucas would do but it's handled so much better than any of the groaners in the prequel trilogy. A lot of baby Groot vibes. Also got a Lone Wolf and Cub vibe from the pair. The way the episodes are...

    Disney+ The Mandalorian

I loved the IG-11 animation. But the episode felt very slight and for all the talk of feature film level production values, it didn't look as good as Star Trek Discovery. But it's miles ahead of the Apple+ offerings.
