    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

I watched the Superbit a few weeks ago and heard the part about the toaster.

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Black Cat was Spider-Man's girlfriend for a while. It's been a while, but I think the real "hook" with their relationship was that she liked him as Spider-Man but was less-than-impressed with him as Peter Parker. I think she got over that after a while, though. She was a lot like Catwoman, as...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

 Wow! I thought I was the only one! :) I agree with you about Venom, too. He started out a great character, but he was ruined in the '90s. Maybe the movie could actually go a ways towards making him interesting again. As for Flash and Black Cat, the only thing working against that is...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

What about the Vulture for the next one? With the way the story is tweaked for the movie, they could make him be a guy Aunt May is dating. Then, Peter has the double unpleasantness of beating up on an old man and fighting his aunt's boyfriend. Also, I wish Flash figured in more than he has. I...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

I don't agree with having MJ die, but I wouldn't mind a more upbeat movie. Some people think Peter Parker is realistic because he has problems. The writers who think that way end up making Peter's life a mess. Other people--myself included--think Peter has problems because he is realistic...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Are the controls intuitive? It seems like it would be tough to swing around since you actually use buildings instead of just shooting webs into the sky like previous games. It's probably mentioned in the other thread, but avoid the PC version like the plague. The demo was awful, and reviews...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

I didn't ultimately have a problem with where they went with the power loss, but I was hoping he just had the flu. That actually happened in the comic book, and it was one of my favorite storylines. He began to lose his powers and was frightened, thinking he was dying or something. He even...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Oh, yeah. I remember that now. I didn't think it was a superhuman leap at the time, but I'll watch for it when I see the movie again.

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

When was this? Did the character really make some huge leap? Any chance he was wearing that medallion thing that actually made him Man-Wolf?

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Remember, the Goblin wore a mask even in the comics. It just looked more like a goblin from fantasy stories. This Halloween mask actually looks pretty accurate: http://images.buycostumes.com/mgen/m...5,225,0xffffff

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Yeah, I forgot about the impact webbing. That was cool. I'd like to see other uses of webbing in future movies, though I'm not sure if the web glider would look so hot on the screen. I remember Spidey webbing up his fists now and again, but I don't really remember why he did that. It would be...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

They dealt with this real early in the Spider-Man mythos, I believe. He tries to sell the formula to a company, and they're great guns until they find out it isn't permanent. Now, yes, they'd realistically hire the kid to make use of his mind, or they'd buy the formula and work it out. But, it...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Good analysis/review, Tony. As for good superhero movies, another one I would add would be Hero At Large. No, I'm not kidding. Maybe I'm remembering it through the prism of my childhood, but I loved it. A lot of it was the location shooting in NYC, as well as John Ritter's endearing performance.

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

If the movie played out similarly to the particular comic storyline, Kraven would wreck Spidey's good name and ultimately cause Spider-Man to become a little unhinged. I haven't read that storyline in a long time, but I believe Spidey got to the point where he wanted to kill him. No matter who...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

See, I would want Spidey in black first. In fact, I want Spidey in black even if Kraven is never considered. I love that costume, and think it would look really sharp on film. I know it's not going to happen, but it would be great. Don't get me wrong, I love the red-and-blue also. The...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Some website I was at today--maybe the one where I found that image--had a statue of Spidey in the black costume in front of the gravestone. The pose was different, but it was kind of neat. Unlike John, I agree with Ernest's post for the most part. The six movies he listed are all acceptable...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

As long as they don't have that Spider-Slayer with Jamesons's huge face on the screen. :D Hate to sound like a broken record, but I want to see this image in one of the sequels: Plus, you get MJ in danger again, but this time, she fears Spider-Man.

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Andrew, I was a little surprised he was in it. I knew where they were leading with Harry, but didn't expect a cameo. I agree with Chuck in that I want to see Spidey going out to fight petty crime at night next time. I take that for granted when reading the comics, and know he does it because...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

They could always bring him over to Spider-Man, or would there be rights problems since Daredevil was Fox (I think)?

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

I liked Venom at first. I just didn't like what he became. Of course, Raimi would be using Venom as he was at the start. Still, there's so many better villains and storylines that could be utilized. Kraven's Last Hunt? Actually, it would be interesting to see a sequel with no central villain...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

I agree that Aunt May knows, but I think that was just a joke along the lines of, "If we had those comic books to sell, we could pay off the bank." . . . My first thought on the train segment was that it didn't matter that the people saw his face, as there are millions of people in the...

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Are you sure that wasn't intentional? My audience was pretty into the film, and that got a pretty healthy laugh. The final punchline was finding out she was a few inches off a nice, wide ledge.

    Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Read Ray's post right above yours. Roger Stern created the Hobgoblin, but left ASM before Hobgoblin's identity was revealed. As I recall, he didn't tell anyone who Hobby was supposed to be, and when the new writers asked him who Hobby was supposed to be, he said, "It's your book. Make him...
