Watching the Screen Actors Guild tribute to those we lost last year reminded me that Laraine Day was among those who passed. Immediately after the show I fired up my off-air recording of The Locket, and my wife watched it with me for her first time. We deserve a proper R1 release.

Barrie adds this about one of my favs: "Goodtimes will have The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946, with Barbara Stanwyck) on Jan. 25th." We'll have to see how it compares to the Image disc.

I second Big Sleep, Detour, Gilda, In a Lonely Place, Double Indemnity, Killers, Out of the Past . . . and add Murder, My Sweet (in the Warners set) and Strangers on a Train.
