This set is available to order again at Deep Discount. It is listed as backordered but they are allowing orders. It's still $100. If you haven't used the one use per person Code DEEP10 you can use it here. Its one of the few codes that works with out of stock items unless they have recently...

I believe Volume 1 was sold out by release day. Several months later, in October, Amazon got some more stock, which is when I bought my set. The new stock started at list price $169 and kept going in and out of stock at Amazon with the price slowly going down and popping up again.
Currently...
Thank you, David. I was able to get my order in too when I saw your post about the set being back in stock at Deep Discount and that the 15% off coupon worked.
Also Columbia did not include the extended edition of "1776" on the digital copy. Warner Bros didn't include the smilebox version of "How The West Was One"on digital copy or on disc except on the original Digibook release of the film. Who knew it was to become so rare at the time the digibook...
Seems gone again at Deep Discount. Maybe it will come back after 15% coupon expires shortly. Now you get message that item can't be found, which was also true yesterday.
The price at Amazon went back to $120.
Not seeing what you are seeing. Amazon US still seems to be selling the US verstion with the Digital Codes. The price has even gone down from $120 to $106.46. Apparently it was down to $99.95 at Amazon per the link below but is now $106.46 when this was written.
Stores are starting to show this set as sold out. Deep Discount seems to have removed it. Target says sold out . Best Buy says ships in 3 to 4 weeks. Amazon and Walmart still show in stock. Walmart actual says preorder but shows delivery by Sunday.
Update: The listing is back at Deep Discount...
I think "Oliver!" suffers from late 60's/early 70's roadshow habit of making everything gigantic with lots of people. There are so many orphans during "Food Glorious Food" , so many vendors during "Who Will Buy" and "Consider Yourself " etc. The original stage show was fairly modest. Bill...
These Columbia boxsets reminds me of how MGM original released the DVDs of the Bond films. Rather than releasing box sets by actor who played Bond they released sets with multiple Bonds. If you wanted the Sean Connery films you had to buy several of the sets which may have included films you...
Would have been nice if Sony had included one film from the 30's -early 40's.
It Happened One Night
Mr. Deeds Goes To Town
Only Angels Have Wings
The Awful Truth
The More The Merrier
His Girl Friday
The Talk of The Town
Holiday
Most of my picks feature Cary Grant and/or Jean Arthur. Great...
From Ebay for the 1st set listings it seems people broke up the set and sold the films they didn't want, sold the digital codes they didn't use and even sold the outer box with and without the book that came with the set. All of which is to say there are ways just to get the films you want...
The first set sold out at many online retailers before release date. Amazon got additional stock later and the set would sell out and comeback multiple times. It became a game for me to track the price though it never got to the price I wanted.
I can see Sony releasing a majority of Volume 1 such as "Lawrence of Arabia" as as single releases in September at around the same time the second box set is released. They would be holiday releases. Perhaps they could re promote "Bridge On The River Kwai" with Lawrence or sell as a two pack...
Very surprised Oliver! is included as Sony leased it first blu ray release to Twilight Time and then put out their own MOD version. Not many blu rays could have been sold. I guess Streisand doesn't sell well as "Funny Girl" is still missing . I would have picked "Groundhog's Day" over "Stripes"...
