I’m noticing that some of the prints used in the part four set of “Peyton Place” are cut by a minute or two. They apparently didn’t bother to at least find all uncut prints of the episodes (there should have been multiple prints available from the original 16mn syndication prints).

My PP arrived Tuesday. There’s a notice at the beginning of the disc that the episodes have been transferred from the best elements available. Sure enough they are 16mm prints which are ok as such but they haven’t been cleaned up so there’s a lot of dirt in places, some splices. Audio is good...

According to imdb his last episode was #101 (9 May 1966)

I don't know the exact date but I watched an episode from August 1965 last night and they were already in the main title so it was before the official start of the second season.
