I think we settled earlier in the thread that there were two reruns that have been mistakenly labeled new episodes in some sources over the years.

I know we settled the question here based on that evidence, but there are still lots of sources in error. I was just pointing out the number as an indication that the episode guide in the new book is that much more likely to be accurate and useful.

Some online episode guides do list them, but the variety show book we have been discussing lists them as a rerun (2/9/70) and a preemption (11/17/73).

Thanks for the list updates, gentlemen. Not to start a riot, but since we have both lists here, maybe we can settle an issue about which many sources, including your lists, disagree. Were there or were there not new episodes aired on 2/9/70 and 11/17/73? Different sources list either 276 or 278...

The more of these episodes that become available, the better. I will say that, selfishly, it is getting a little tiresome to keep paying $200 for the deluxe direct mail sets and then find that the exclusive bonuses go to a store I can't get to and which lacks an online option.

Yes, it will be helpful for those. The recurring sketches are often just listed by type (e.g. "Mrs. Wiggins sketch"), but it's pretty good about offering at least a couple of words about other sketches.

Do you mean the variety show reference book alluded to earlier in this discussion? I do have it and it's a great, though not infallible, resource. Alas, it does not include production numbers, so it probably wouldn't help with this particular question.

Brian, thanks for the clear and helpful lists! Makes the confusing releases of this show a little less impenetrable. Two small changes I caught (unless I am mistaken) were in the 11th season list. Time/Life has issued the October 1 and October 8 shows (1103 and 1105) as part of Carol's Crack...

While I was vaguely hoping for full-season sets, I didn't really expect them and I am very excited to see these mostly hidden shows, as they haven't aired since before I was born.
