That's a fair warning, but I am still enjoying my DVDs of It Takes A Thief more than my DVDs of, say, Switch or Run For Your Life. If that's what they have for The Name of the Game, I'll take it.

The first season has the most episodes with updated elements, so it should require less work and expense than the second and third seasons. I would hope that we could at least get the first year as a test of market interest.

Given your description of your taste, I think it's a show you would enjoy. Alas, it may be a little while, as I emailed Shout and they told me Timeless still has no planned release date.

I wouldn't call it definitive, as May 31 is a Sunday, but it's certainly encouraging that someone is putting up new listings for the show this year.

I wrote to Shout again to check on its status. According to their customer service department, they are "actively working" on the set and it is definitely postponed, rather than canceled. The only stated reason is a "production delay." The release is projected for sometime in 2015.

I wrote to Shout and got an answer today saying that there have been some production delays on the series, and the release date has been changed. But the title is still coming, and they will announce a new release date as soon as they are sure of it.

Well, Amazon has caught up to everyone else and changed the release date to October 28th. Hard to justify complaining too much about a slight delay in releasing a show that might never have been released at all.

Franciosa was only slightly behind the others for the first two years, but there were a lot of difficulties filming his segments and finally, after only filming one regular show and that Las Vegas two-parter in the third season, he was let go and that unit started using guest leads instead.
