the Hiro thing is inevitable, as he's just too powerful. being able to either A) freeze time, B) teleport, or C) time travel, is pretty uber individually, but he can do all three :P for a while he was not travelling because he needed his sword. then it was his father's death. now he's a kid.

i generally agree that ratings and quality do not always correlate; i've loved shows like Arrested Development and Sports Night that never got the ratings they deserved (or were basically 'too smart' for the masses). but Heroes is not in this situation. it had monster ratings its first season...
