If anyone is interested, I started this thread last year to just generally discuss horror movies. I know several of you also post there but if you’re interested please join the conversation!

RE: Dracula
If you get the chance, watch the Spanish version that was filmed at the same time during the “off hours” of the Lugosi version. A different cast and crew on the same sets. It’s a much better film in my opinion. I know it was available as a bonus feature on some previous releases.

I was pretty shocked to see so many positive comments/reviews of this after I’d watched it.

I’ve been keeping up on this thread and watching movies when possible. An unexpected push to take care of a medical issue has meant tests and appointments plus extra time working. Although I’ll be recovering from surgery the last week of the challenge so I’ll try to play catch up later!

3. Mystery of the Wax Museum 2.5/5 👻
A famous wax sculptor is nearly killed when his partner starts a fire in his studio for the insurance money. Twelve years later he opens a full museum (with the help of his trained sculptors since his hands were burned badly in the fire) but a nosy reporter...
The Rental (Netflix) 3.5/5 👻
Interesting “cabin in the woods” with a new twist on the killer. Two couples rent a seaside house, but the owner is a creep. They decide to stay the weekend and make the best of it. The buildup is slow, and there’s not much violence/gore despite its R rating. But I...
#2. The Feast (Hulu) 4/5 👻
A slow moving but unnerving dinner party nightmare. Cadi replaces the usual help for the family’s dinner party, but she’s quiet and a little “off”. Everyone in the family has things in their pasts they’d prefer to keep hidden but she exposes them…a LOT. The first two...
#1. The Munsters (2022) 0/5 👻
A horrendous, unfunny mess. For someone who apparently loves the original show so much Rob Zombie’s take shows no love, respect or feeling towards it. Sheri Moon Zombie’s acting is the equivalent to nails scratching a chalkboard. It’s a mishmash of half-realized...
