    @ gary metropolis was shot at 25fps which was also preserved with the pal release. that means that the eureka and the film sans frontières play the film in the correct speed as it was indented. so no pal speed up for this baby here ;)

    @ gary the region 1 dvd of gladiator has dts 6.1 es discrete and not only 5.1! as far as i know this was the first retail movie dvd that contained true 6.1 sorround sound. you wanna update in your comparison ;)

    how about a comparsion for disney's mulan? i have the u.s. limited issue (non anamorph) and the german pal dvd (anamorph).
