    Everyone on the movie had their own ideas--Robin's Mercer-muttering and Shelley's "Ohh, deeear..." were homaging the cartoons, while Jules Pfeiffer's script was homaging the comic strip. And, of course, 1980 audiences knew neither one of them, and it confused their poor lil' minds! :blink:

    (Not to nitpick, but Showtime. HBO had some good series in the 80's, like Not Necessarily the News and Fraggle Rock, but it was Showtime that got FTT, the Broadway shows, and Garry Shandling. :angry: )

    I was no Altman fan (to put it mildly), but owning the complete 80's "Faerie Tale Theatre" boxset on DVD will warm your heart to Crazy Shelley in short time. ^_^ (Btw, anyone know the current ownership status of SD'sFTT? It came out from a small struggling independent label in the early days...
