International Via Vision Entertainment announces new premium Blu-ray label IMPRINT

I was there in 1968 and I can assure you that the public very much did expect a conclusion. Viewers and press critics were outraged and their reaction made McGoohan leave the U.K. for good! This U.K. made series wasnt like the typical US series that carried for more than one series with no...

I saw it when first broadcast and just about everyone complained about the final episode. It showed contempt for the viewers who, from the advance publicity, expected a conclusion but it was just self-indulgent style above plot.

I’m tempted to get The Man Who Haunted Himself again for the additional extras.

Good to know there’s new scan of The Man in Half Moon Street on the way which never even had a DVD release. With a Miklos Rozsa score as well. Maybe Kino will soon have this as well.

I still sometimes buy DVDs. A very large number of films and TV series will never be released on Blu-ray and DVD still holds 50% of the physical media market, despite many saying years ago that the format wouldn’t exist much longer.

Received “War of the Worlds” today. Huge improvement on the DVD and Amazon Prime HD version. I first saw the film as a reissue in the mid 1960s as a double bill with, of all things, “Psycho”. “War of the Worlds“ was shown cropped to fit the wide screen.
