TT doesn't do Paramount, so PAPER MOON is out from them. They also don't (so far) license from Warner Bros, which has the rights to PAT GARRETT. SHAMPOO is a possibility, however.
PAPER MOON, THE PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, LA STRADA, A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH are available in Europe on Blu. BRINGING UP BABY had an HD master produced but, frankly, it looks like shit and I am guessing this RKO classic needs a great deal of work. I fully expect Warner Archives to release PAT...
There's a nice HD master of this film out there, possibly meant only for streaming. But why this film hasn't turned up from TT or Criterion or Sony itself is quite remarkable to me. Barbra Streisand's and Nick Nolte's high water mark, hands down.
Broken record time: CURSE/NIGHT OF THE DEMON is available from Germany, and looks great.

Why TT or Sony itself haven't yet release...
An aside for Billy: I like your avatar -- it brings back fond memories. I bought this and all (not many, as it didn't last long)) subsequent issues of Spacemen as a kid. Between this and FM and various other genre mags of the 60's, my allowance was gone before it was put into my hands.
You have listed many titles I am anxious to own. LIGHT BRIGADE is out in Europe and I bought it -- it's pretty good, but not stellar. HOPE AND GLORY is a dynamite film about kids growing up in a London war zone (WWII) by John Boorman -- I'm amazed this hasn't been released yet. I did not...
I may have posted this way-y earlier in the thread, but I have been haunting any studio who has a licensing agreement with Fox (plus Fox itself) to please consider the marvelous 1965 Alexander Mackendrick adventure A HIGH WIND IN JAMAICA for Blu release. Anyone who loves sea yarns, pirates...
That's what I mean - if it wasn't 3-projectors, it was merely single 70mm Ultra or Super Panavision image rectified and thrown onto a Cinerama screen. Cinerama Light, if you will. That's is all I ever got to see, beginning with IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD, as I'd simply missed the true...
I never found this film funny, even when I first saw it as a kid in fake Cinerama on B'way. Too long, too forced, too what-the-hell-are-you-doing-Mr.-Struges? I know the film has its champions, so for their sake, this could make a nice release.
I am sure there are fans of this, and Scheider was a wonderful actor, but I remember being profoundly disappointed by it when I saw it theatrically, as it had been promoted as an unofficial companion piece to THE FRENCH CONNECTION, and it could not hold a candle to that. Didn't have the...
There are absolutely glorious BD's of these Zeman films, as well as JOURNEY TO THE BEGINNING OF TIME, all on one BD disc, available from
www.KarlaZemana.cz
These are region B locked, but if you are region-free, get these immediately! PQ and sound are outstanding, and there are English...
Assuming TT reps are reading this thread, I join you in your votes for PRETTY POISON (with commentary), GULLIVER, DEATH OF A SALESMAN, CAT BALLOU and, most importantly, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, I scratch my head a lot wondering why that last title, one of the few remaining Oscar-winners not to...
I'd love to see someone release JEAN DE FLORETTE / MANON DES SOURCES, but so far TT hasn't delved into foreign language stuff much, if at all. I seriously hope for THE LION IN WINTER and A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, both of which could happen.
Remember the days not too many years back when hearing that a favorite title was "with Warner Bros." was the best news we could have received? Now, it seems we have little chance of see them on Blu. Let's hope Mr. Harris is correct and that we see a lot of classic Blu titles in 2015.
I have championed this film for a decent video release ever since the laser disc days, started threads in forums about it, added posts all over the place. You know, I actually do not think anyone at Disney reads these forums. Most other studios probably do, but Disney has become such a massive...
I once would have considered Warner Bros. owning a title as good news, too. Now, not so much. Their announcement of OUT OF THE PAST in the Archies series is wonderful, but at 1 title every two months or so, how many of us will still be alive when our favorite wish list title emerges? How many...
And now that HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES (1959) is being released in Australia, and PRIVATE LIFE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES is coming from Kino, and A STUDY IN TERROR is coming from France, this is the one Sherlock Holmes film that remains on my "Must Desperately Have" list.
I do not think TT has any arrangement with Paramount. That would be Warner Bros, who are sitting on a ton of Paramount catalog titles. I second THE EMERALD FOREST, THE DAY AFTER, WHOSE LIFE IS IT ANYWAY, LUST FOR A VAMPIRE, and would add SHOOT THE MOON, SOUNDER, and a ton of others.
