    One of the easiest places to see it is on the titles sequence. When the first "Miramax" title comes up on the grey background - it really is heavily present there.

    While its possible the DVD player itself will affect whether you see EE or not, your main concern should be with the size and quality of your screen. A really poor DVD player might not show EE as its got a dreadful picture but your 444 should be fine. However unless you are watching the film...

    Are we sure that the DVDs are both single layers? I am under the impression that at least, the first disc is dual layered. Anyone able to check the VIDEO bit rate on the first disc using something like PowerDVD (right click/Configuration/Information - scroll down to VIDEO).. ta Dave
