I wonder why they felt compelled to use Charles Gray? In the TV film of JANE EYRE (with Susannah York and Geo. C. Scott), Hawkins was dubbed by Gray, and sounded like....Chas. Gray. Couldn't they have simply found an impressionist to do Hawkins' voice? Heck, I can do a decent Jack Hawkins...
