That's true. The only reason "Wrath of Khan" is seen as more successful, Box Office wise, is because it had a much smaller budget.

Damon's a good actor and has been making good career choices recently so it's definitely not a terrible idea. But isn't Damon actually older than when Shatner first played the role? I thought it was going to be Kirk in his 20s.

I agree. I think this film has the BEST potential for NON-Trek fans.
