Nope, so the ones that are Bold with "*" are the ones that have issues for me:
Snow White and the Huntsman*
Huntsman Winters War
Oblivion*
Lucy
The Last Which Hunter
Enders Game
Gods of Egypt
Divergent
Insurgent
Allegiant
Star Trek
Star Trek Into Darkness
The Revenant
Journey to Space
The 5th...
Ok, just put Lucy in and... and it still play just fine as well as PPvZ...
But... Oblivion does not work, bizarre as I thought I tested it but must not have put that one in. So there you go. :)
Well that is weird what are you seeing as it not playing? I have put in 5 or so discs and they play the first 10 min or so no problem. I only played Star Trek most of the way through. I can go through all 33 discs tomorrow but so far I had no issues with playback.
Netflix still the only 4K streaming app :( Waiting for Amazon and YouTube (demo material). Vudu would be nice as well but if I get the first two I will sell my Roku 4.
So I played all the discs you had issues with no problem. I also threw in Batman vs. Superman since it is the 100GB disc it was slower to load but played back fine.
Ok, the first bad news about this console has hit the media... No true bitstream support. Hence it is not the UHD player you are looking for unless you don't have ATMOS/DTS:X. This is pretty disappointing. I sent a request to my Xbox MVP to confirm but it appears to be what I expected...
They are releasing cheaper (i.e. 500GB) Xbox One S just a little later. This is what they have done for every version get one "special edition" version at launch then others a couple months later. UHD Disks only come in one format "so far" and I have yet to see a disc announced that will support...
People update gaming PCs all the time for better graphics, more frame rate, etc (at much more cost). Frankly I have stayed with gaming consoles because it is far cheaper even if you buy these mid upgrades then keeping up with PC gaming.
I actually think there is a bigger risk (one I'm willing to risk). The Xbox One has a ton of venting and the power supply gets warm which you are now moving it inside the box. I guess I'm saying I don't think there has been an issue with venting this generation.
I follow the gaming industry pretty close and my partner is a Microsoft Xbox MVP. I have not heard of any issues with Red Ring of death with the Xbox One. Heck they went away in the 360 way before the slim. They really fixed that problem after the first year or so. I went through four 360 "Red...
Couple comments the PS3 launched one year after the Xbox 360 not two. November 22, 2005 Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 on November 17, 2006.
You can't compare the PS4 (Neo) to the "S", it should be more inline with the Xbox Project Scorpio which arrives in 2017. The "S" is just a...
There are plenty of us Xbox One gamers out here. Did the PS4 out sell it yes but MS isn't leaving the space anytime soon. People have been asking for a small unit. Adding the 4K is a huge bonus millions of 4K TVs have been sold over the last four years. The Xbox forums are full of requests for...
You are correct no 4K/HDR gaming until Scorpio got my wires crossed. It does support full UHD Disc playback with HDR + Streaming. I have heard the PS(Neo) will not have the UHD Disc playback.
Yeah, it has me very excited as well. I may buy this one anyway since it is one $399 (or less if you wait). I typically have two in my house anyway. I can sell one of the launch day Xbox Ones get this one then replace the other next year.
Looks like Microsoft has come through with a new box to rival if not beat PS4 (Neo)
40% smaller, Steams 4K, plays UHD Discs and will play 4K games with HDR at least in the video.
A special, limited edition launch edition of the Xbox One S will be available in early August with a 2TB hard drive...
