Finally received my copy of Young And Innocent from Amazon UK (unusually late delivery - over two weeks).
It is Region 'B' locked.
Looks pretty good. There are some scratches, and a rare case of minor flutter, but nothing distracting (at least, not to me).
Still one of my favorites.
I've pre-ordered the Young And Innocent disc. I'm guessing it is a typo - the picture shows the Blu-Ray. As we approach January and another listing shows up, I can cancel this order and re-order it.
Fantastic news about Young And Innocent.A couple of quick questions about Network Blu-rays (from those who have other releases from them). Are their discs usually Region Locked or Region Free?Have there been major complaints about their quality?
Byron,
Since you have the Australian version of Lifeboat, can you tell if it is Region 'B' locked? I see the 'B' symbol on the cover you included, but I don't know if that means it is locked or just unknown.

I haven't seen any announcements. Criterion supposedly holds the rights to Sabotage, Young And Innocent, and Foreign Correspondent, and they may put them out sometime (but when?).Lifeboat had a Region-B locked release and might get a domestic release at some time (but again, when?)I believe the...
According to The Digital Bits
"Speaking of Universal and Hitchcock, the studio will release BD singles of Rope on 5/7, Shadow of a Doubt on 6/4 and The Trouble with Harry on 7/2."

You wouldn't want a partial copy of the UK set, minus the four titles I'd be keeping for myself, would you? :D
At this point, I probably will pick up the set and then try to sell off the titles I don't want.. I may not even keep the packaging since I hate boxes/books/etc. I move my movies...
This has been an incredible 12 months.
Last Halloween, there were TWO Hitchcock films on Blu Ray. Come this Halloween, there will be TWENTY-FIVE.
This was an awesome year.

I couldn't find any of the thirteen new Universal Hitchcock's on either the US or UK Amazon sites. I would love to see them released individually, as I only want about four of them.
Amazon currently has The Lady Vanishes at $20.99. Considering the tax that Barnes and Nobles charges, this is an equivalent price to their 50% sale ($19.99)

In addition to the list I posted previously, I just picked up To Catch A Thief.
Best Buy, to offset their store closings sent me a $10 coupon to keep my business. And they are running their DVD trade-in to BLU upgrade program, but instead of just a small list of titles, anything priced...
Hey, what can I say - not a big Kim Novak fan either  To me, it is a perfect example of the 'this means something' film - which Hitch himself joked about "except the train at the end of NNW"
I prefer his earlier works - 39 Steps, Young And Innocent, Notorious. The suspense...
I just picked up The Lady Vanishes (Amazon had it for 48% off, which with the tax break is basically the same as the B&N Criterion 50% sale).
Also have Notorious, Rebecca, and North By Northwest.
Not a big fan of To Catch A Thief or Spellbound, and Psycho wouldn't get much replay.
Already...
