And yet another MGM Musical's cover
Here is my Cabin In The Sky cover, along with my current MGM Musical's Collection.
In response to KPMusmag, I never purchased Bells Are Ringing. I've considered it, but it was never a favorite (although it is growing on me). Same with the Esther...
Another day, another MGM Musical's cover
Although, lately, WAC has been using original artwork, I often try to find a different original poster.
Here is my The Great Ziegfeld cover, along with my current MGM Musical's Collection.
I also put together season disc covers for the VEI Wiseguy collection. I replaced the Mega case (with disc envelopes) with four cases.
I also made DVD versions (their color scheme is more brown-ish).
These fit 15mm cases. Technically, Season 4 is only 2 discs, so it could be in a...
I put together an All-In-One case for the recent Imprint Jesse Stone Collection (their packaging was a 3-disc and 6-disc).
This fits a 22mm 9-disc case.
I also put together the following insert
With the addition (upgrade) of Ziegfeld Follies, and in expectation of Take Me Out To The Ball Game, here is my revised collection.
Most of my Title lettering comes from the poster I chose for the front cover. I'm not sure why, but it seems the MGM Marketing Dept really liked RED LETTERING.
Unfortunately, I have little hope for two of the DVD titles
Invitation To The Dance is an extremely niche title, so very little expectation.
That's Dancing has numerous rights issues with so many studios involved.
I do hope the other nine show up.
As for additions, there are two I never picked...
Over the weekend I decided to create new spines for my Quatermass blu-rays. I like a consistent design (although to be fair, they did come from three different companies).
The three on the left are the originals, the three on the right are my new ones.
Not sure why Rollin Hand (Martin Landau) wasn't featured. These were merely conversions of the official Paramount release. Casey (Linda Day George) was also omitted (and she was on longer than Warren).
I chose the Phelps photo for the Revival. Its been a while since I've seen them (haven't...
I just replaced the awful BigHead cover for Laura (I did keep the back cover)
I also did some tweaking on my This Gun For Hire cover (that matches the Arrow releases of The Blue Dahlia and The Glass Key). The spine lettering is tighter, and Veronica's image is lighter, a closer match to the...
I've just completed covers for my MGM Musicals (including faux-blu spines for those titles still on DVD)
Technically, "The Harvey Girls" and "Good News" are on preorder right now, but will soon be on my shelf for real.
The only other MGM Musical I own is "The Barkleys Of Broadway", but that...
For the new Mission Impossible Complete Series set, I decided to not use the flimsy (to be kind) packaging.
I've put each season into a 22mm 7-disc cases (the last three seasons have an empty hub).
I've also done a 9-disc 'blu' case for the 88-89 DVDs
Second version of the 88/89...
I just picked up the Zone 'B' version of Appointment With Death (the final Peter Ustinov 'Hercule Poirot') film.
I owned the Studio Canal Zone 'B' versions of the other Agatha Christie films and I wanted to make a matching cover for this German release.
This matches the Australian versions...
I read through the Monty Python season booklets when I got the set. I doubt I'll look at them again.
If I need to, they'll still be in the Box-Of-Junk original packaging. I'm not throwing it away. Just not using it on a normal basis.
I just received the Monty Python's Flying Circus collection. I will probably be putting the box away and using this custom case for normal use.
The disc are now housed in a standard 7-disc case. Here is the custom cover

I own the two Arrow Alan Ladd/Veronica Lake titles - The Glass Key and The Blue Dahlia. I just picked up the Shout Select title This Gun For Hire.
The Shout blu has the original artwork, and the two Arrow titles has the original artwork on their reversible cover.
But I like the Arrow new...
Here is a version of My Fair Lady that I put together to replace the 50th Anniversary book version.
I transferred the discs into a normal triple-disc case
With the just released Frank Sinatra collection, there are now 13 MGM musicals out on Blu-Ray (16 if you count the three That's Entertainment films).
The Wizard Of Oz
Meet Me In St. Louis
Anchors Aweigh
Easter Parade
On The Town
An American In Paris
Singin' In The Rain
The Band Wagon...
Fritz, Even though I am not partaking of this particular batch, I just want to say how grateful I am that you are a part of HTF, and how gracious you are in sharing (when allowed). Thank you
Fritz,I have loved your covers for years (and have many in my collection).I have a question ( and if you've answered previously blame my faulty memory). But since you were making faux-official versions of the Lethal Weapons, I thought I'd ask.I don't see any UPC codes on these , and don't...
