Well, I jumped 12 hrs early. Several folks now reporting getting their certs today (or retrieving from their Spam Folder) so Feb 27 seems to have pulled into a commanding lead.
EDIT:
PRESUMED FLASH SALE - February 27, 2024
Items released since last FLASH SALE Oct 17 -- price assumed to be...
Just the usual heads up -- no word yet, but it's getting to be that time the Q1 Flash Sale may be coming up soon. For years 4th Tuesday in Feb was the most likely date, but the last 2 years it's bumped to March so sometime in the next 3 weeks I'd expect something.
No reports yet of Gift Certs...
I updated the sticky thread in the DEALS section, but heads up that the Barnes & Noble 50% off MSRP Sale is due to start soon. Some confusing information being given by BN Employees, but the SALE will either start Friday Nov 3 or Monday Nov 6 and appears to run though Cybermonday December 4th
Reminder -- Criterion.com Flash Sale may be on for tomorrow Oct 17 starting Noon ET. No announcement yet, but 3rd Tuesday is common and Streaming people started getting their $10 Promo Codes so a good chance
7pm ET
EMAIL now sent confirming sale. Conplete thread started in Deals section
First reports filtering out about $10 Gift Codes being sent to the Streamer Channel Subs. In the last several sales, this has been an excellent sign that the Flash Sale is coming soon -- most likely next Tuesday March 21. It's the latest the Q1 sale has ever been, but it separates from...
Criterion.com with a small Valentine's Sale -- 50 titles 30% off through Feb 16.
I guess that just about eliminated Feb 14 as the Flash Sale for this year
4th Tues (2/28 this year) is always the best guess since over half the sales happened then
3/7 with Mildred Pierce 4K seems the next best...
I'll guess the loss of most of those stores made virtually no difference in overall sales.
It doesn't feel like more than a tiny sliver of their sales would likely be walk by impulse buys and for those who want Criterion knew about B&N and Criterion.com sales
and by the time most of those...
Flash Sale now live
Hard Day's Night 4K is active and available to order making it an extra happy day and waiting a couple extra week a pleasure instead of nuisance
There are a few that seemed to have gotten lost in the last BN sale and never returned to normal price, plus PM the Target B2G1 sale thouhg most are random and older titles
If you have several to get -- the Criterion.com FLASH is presumed to start tomorrow at noon. Several Criterion Stream...
Not to distract from the current flow of the thread, but FLASH SALE time is approaching soon so at least put it on the radar for the next couple weeks if it's something of interest.
No rumors yet, but 4th Tuesday in February is the most common date (2/22/2022) though it was pushed to March a...
Most of the items are now flipped over including all 4 UHD titles. Weird thing with the beginning of these BN sales is that some people with different browsers see different items discounted at different times. I've never seen another sale do this.
I cleared every cookie/cache adn had 4...
Prices are starting to flip -- maybe 25-30% so far. Good news is so far some of the 4K items are 50% off -- I've seen Uncut Gems and Mulh Drive.
Believe it or not, others have seen Cit Kane and Menace to Society already 50% off.
New Format, first sale -- nothing to go by yet. I guess there are some questions whether the sale prices will apply like they have with BD and DVD to date. I don't remember BD being excluded in the early sales, but that was a different era.
We'll have to see what restrictions (if any)...
First confirmation from a B&N Clerk in-store Tuesday while someone was getting a couple 50% Off Arrow Discs
BN Criterion Fall sale starts October 29 and runs through November 29
Obviously the unique thing with this sale will be the introduction of the first UHD releases
Never has. Only currently in-stock titles.
B&N sale will sort of allow preorders, but only those that are releasing before the stated end date of the sale, but very rarely have they allowed preorders of those releasing later.
CRITERION FLASH SALE Starting OCTOBER 19, 2021 Noon ET for 24 HRS
Just got an email announcing the sale plus a $10 Reward Code so if you're on the mailing list, might want to check
End date appears to be Aug 1 instead of Aug 2 according to the website. It doesn't affect any new releases, but for those that like to wait until the last minute it might be important
Heads up -- BARNES AND NOBLE 50% OFF sale is expected to start Friday July 2 and run through Monday Aug 2.
No information yet of if they'll be allowing the member discount again -- they did Jlu 2020, but didn't Nov 2020. I'm betting they will not allow it, but it's still a wait and see for...
Assuming these with stores that are still listing in-store stock available.
I guess I forget to post my edit:
Looking at the inventory I checked last night, a lot of my near(er) by stores that had some stock of these 6 now are out.
Either much of the weekend shoppers/reserve for pickup now are...
I've had several discs shipped direct from the store that were listed as OOS for shipping. Last summer during the Criterion Sale called and had Bruce Lee and War of teh Worlds shipped from a store that has stock, but BN wasn't allowing online orders. Not all stores will do phone-in ship...
Probably less of a contract pull than people ordering from BN.com and BN using store stock to fulfill orders similar to BBY stores since the ALLIANCE Warehouse was OOS of most of those 6 titles already judging by the lack of stock available at the Direct Alliance stores like Deep Discount, etc...
Someone else mentioned Friends of Eddie Coyle -- also Paramount and also now list Currently Unavailable at Criterion, but not on the OOP list. Also stock very very light at other retailers.
Honestly I'm not sure how to filter out Criterions by original studio
No sales that I can find and very...
How come anytime I hear or read the word "Clever .. " being used I end up doubled over with a severe pain in my abdomen. Think maybe I've watched Jurassic Park a few too many times?
