Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

I hope they get the opening credits right this time. I can't even imagine how that happened. They should be shipping today!! Good luck to all who invested in the project.

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

There's not a single title from the 80's 3D list that didn't have issues. They've come a long way with 3D since then. The newer 3D titles (Final D #5, Drive Angry, and others) with the exception of conversions which are still great) are almost perfect 3D. I've seen zero problems with those...

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

My knowledge on cameras is very limited but I believe Friday part 3 was shot with a Arriflex 35 BL, Marks 3-Depix Converter rig. My 35mm print of Amityville 3D has some issues and I would say less issues than the Friday print.

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

As far as I know every print of part 3 was printed in 2:35, even the non 3D drive in prints. If a theatre, either drive in or hardtop couldn't project 3D, they ran the 2D 2:35 print. Studios were not doing conversion work back then so since the scene was in real 3D I'm assuming they re-shot...

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

I failed to mention that the "real 3D" begins with the shot of Jason on the floor with the machete beside him. At least that's when it begins on the original release prints.

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

As promised, here's the bottom line on the "credits" question on Friday the 13th, part 3. From the start of the opening credits, which is Friday the 13th until the end, Directed By, each and every credit pops off the screen at the viewer. So if your Shout disc doesn't do that, it's NOT right...

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

Allen Friday #3 was on our "must show" for Halloween so I'll go ahead and enjoy it and double check the credits but a feel sure we're correct. I've watched the movie countless times at home plus the two weeks I projected it for Malco Theatres when it was released first run back in the day so I...

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

Y'all are forcing me to drag out the 35mm print of part 3 and run it to check the credits. I was thinking all the opening credits up until the van driving up to Vera's house all popped out but I can't be sure until I have a look. I'll let everyone know when I verify.

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

Wow, after reading the entire thread above I'm glad I decided not to make the purchase. It's a shame the opening credits for part 3 got messed up. For those of you who have never seen the original 35mm print of part 3, you don't know what you're missing. Like Allen Hollis said in his post the...

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

Speaking of which, does anyone know why the shot of Jason coming back to life in the beginning and then credits are windowboxed. That always seemed strange to Reactions: TravisR On my 35mm print of part, 3 you are instructed to go ahead and wear the 3D glasses but the actual 3D doesn't begin...

Press Release Scream Factory Press Release: Friday The 13th Deluxe Edition (Blu-ray)

I'm not holding my breath for a real Blu Ray of this title but I hope they do the right thing. It's been long enough and I don't know anyone who enjoys the anaglyph version. Regardless of what is released, I won't be getting rid of my original 35mm 3D print which looks great. My print still...
