Why would I buy the R1 version when it comes out? I've already had the exact same thing from another region all along. And the best part is...no one can borrow it. ;) And I could give you a laundry list of titles I own that have been out in other countries for quite some time with NO similar...

Completely not true. Try looking at any list of DTS/16:9/SE's from other regions. Many of them will never come out here in R1. What's the matter with non-english characters on an insert?? It's the presentation of the film that matters. You don't like the insert, print out a new one.

That's complete BS. Multi-region players are just as cheap as any other. And a lot of the discs I've been picking up lately are cheaper than R1 counterparts. As far as movies that aren't available ANYWHERE in anamorphic widescreen...I'd have to add... Memphis Belle Black Rain
