Still waiting for my Lana Turner set:
-Green Dolphin Street
-Marriage Is A Private Affair
-Slightly Dangerous
-Keep Your Powder Dry
-Weekend at the Waldorf
-Cass Timberlane
I wouldn't be surprised at a 3rd Ester set since WB doesn't have a lot of her films left to release:
-Jupiter's Darling
-Skirts Ahoy
-Duchess of Idaho
-Texas Carnival
-The Hoodlum Saint
Her Warners filmography would, thus be complete with the exception of A Guy Named Joe (Warner Archives most...
For goodness sake, won't they won't package the Gable/Turner and Gable/Crawford pairings together and make a Gable set with
-Too Hot to Handle
-Strange Interlude
-Men In White
-Idiot's Delight
-Cain and Mabel
I also wish they would package the previously released Joan Crawford films together...
A Kay Francis set sure would be nice with The Goose and the Gander, Mandalay, Confession, I Found Stella Parrish, Dr. Monica, and Mary Stevens MD.
Also there are 3 Marion Davies films I want such as Blondie of the Follies, Page Miss Glory and Going Hollywood.
You're right Charles. I remember reading on this forum that Warners had got Sherman to do commentary on all the films he did for Warners, so why these are MIA is puzzling.
I hope they do a Norma Shearer set with:
-Their Strange Desire
-Escape
-Her Cardboard Lover
-Riptide
-The Barrets of Wimpole Street
as well as a Greer Garson set with:
-The Valley of Decision
-Remember
-Adventure
-The Law and the Lady
-That Forsyte Woman

I'm still waiting for them to package the Crawford/Gable and Turner/Gable pairings together and hopefully they do the same with Ida Lupino and Ann Sheridan.
I'm 22 and I like having the physical dvd copy, too. These films are targeted at the Baby Boomers who have $20 to spare on a film. A broke college student like me doesn't.
I think the Bette Davis boxed sets sell well enough for them to keep releasing them. However, her more obscure ingenue work will probably be released through Warner Archives. For the next Davis set, I see:
-Dangerous
-Beyond the Forest
-The Sisters
-Juarez
-A Stolen Life
-Bordertown/Ex Lady
Those Crawford and Garbo films will be eaten up. I already posted them on their respective fan boards and they're really excited. I highly expect Joan's films to go for wider distribution since she's a top seller.
