That's a lot of it. None of us remember the events in "Lawrence of Arabia" but I'm betting most of us remember Live Aid! It's also more grating because some of the surviving band members signed off on it. They lived it and still said "go ahead and make up all sorts of nonsense" - that bugs me...

I don't think knowing a band never broke up is the same as digging into their personal lives. Knowing Babe Ruth hit 714 home runs doesn't mean you have to be aware of his personal life. I really find it shocking that a "huge fan" would have no idea that the band never split up!
