I still associate Malek with his role as Ahkmenrah in "Night at the Museum" - his first movie role!
And lest we forget, "odd look and weird vibe" aside, he played a character who was supposed to be handsome and noble there! :)
I met a woman for a date right after I left "NTtD" today. She asked me not to offer spoilers since she wont see it for a while.
Funny thing is that if I offered
IIRC, Bond in the books is mid-late 30s, which is how old Craig was in 2006. (38, to be exact.)
For reference:
Connery was 32 in his first Bond.
Lazenby was 30 in his one Bond.
Moore was 46 (!) in his first Bond.
Dalton was 41 in his first Bond.
Brosnan was 42 in his first Bond.
So Connery...
My biggest issue with Dalton is that I think he suffered from a bad case of Tried Too Hard Syndrome.
He was so dag-blasted determined to do everything he could to separate his Bond from Roger Moore's that he damaged the character's charm too much of the time.
Connery - RIP! - was the perfect...
Yeah, those are easily top 2 for me.
Despite my extreme fondness for her work, I didn't much care for Madonna's theme back in 2002, but it's grown on me.
To a lesser degree, it's the same for Garbage's song, though unlike Madonna in 2002, I wasn't a Garbage fan in 1999. I didn't get into them...
I always really liked "License to Kill" and never quite understood why so many hate it:

"Living Daylights" is also good - I thought it was the best Bond since "Thunderball"!

Oh, agree 100% there! "Live and Let Die" is easily my favorite Bond theme - perhaps not a shock because McCartney is my favorite artist who's done a Bond theme, but it's still a really good song.
Not sure what my 2nd fave Bond theme would be - probably "View to a Kill".
Madonna is my 2nd fave...
"Live and Let Die" seems to have a pretty good reputation, but I never got into it beyond thinking it's okay. Moore plays Bond at his prissiest - can you imagine Connery in that scene where Bond makes espresso? - it's fairly mediocre overall:

Agree.
There are some movies that really need the theatrical run and that would be diminished if they went straight to video, and Bond is one of them.
If these theater semi-closures endure a lot longer, I suppose we'll probably get some "can't imagine they won't run theatrical" movies direct...
