That's about the only potential distinction. "J3"offers some campy laughs, whereas "Revenge" largely lacks even those! I still contend they're 2 sides of the same coin, though - awful and awfuler, perhaps, but very close relatives!

"Jaws 3" vs. "Revenge" is a potayto/potahto situation. They're both awful!

Could be - betting it'll be awful. Hope I'm wrong, but I've been burned by way too many movies like that!

Yup, same here. As I think I stated earlier, I wasn't wild about "Jaws" when I first saw it - to a kid, it's less exciting and action-packed. Came to change my mind later, of course. "J2" is just an erratic, average movie...

Which is EXACTLY why I liked "J2" better as a kid! When I saw the original during a 1979 re-issue, I liked it, but not as much as "J2" - for all the reasons you mentioned. Plus "J2" was my first experience with the franchise, so that screening enjoyed a freshness the original didn't for me...

I'd be shocked if they did that for a catalog BD. Netflix doesn't have BDs for "Jaws 2" or any of the sequels - the rental market for titles like that is minuscule...

Yeah,. that would've been more effective - give Brody a vibe that let the audience see the town council's POV. I loved "J2" as a kid. I saw it before I saw the original - I was too young for "Jaws" in 1975 but old enough for "J2". It's lost a lot of luster since then. It has some moments but...
