??? I agree - that's what I said. Not sure why you responded to me for that. I prefer - and write - reviews that balance opinions of movie and DVD. It's the ones that focus entirely on the movie - like the one linked above, or most of them at DVD Journal - that don't make sense to me...

You can always skip that part of the DVD review - it's not like you're forced to read it. However, a DVD review that barely mentions the DVD... that just seems odd to me.

That review's a waste of time - as a DVD review. One sentence to cover picture and sound? What's the point? While I think DVD critics should critique the movies, I don't understand those who spend 99% of their time on the films and say virtually nothing about the discs themselves...

Shouldn't you actually SEE the thing before you get on your soapbox and criticize it?

Since they didn't send out screeners, I haven't seen Passion, but the press release went out of its way to specify it included full bitrate DTS, so I'd be surprised if it WASN'T that way...
