I updated my personal iPhone 12 to iOS 16. It works fine and I haven’t run into any issues yet.

I wish they would go back to the bright neon sport band colors instead of the toothache inducing pastels. I’ve tried several 3rd party neon sport bands from Amazon and they all made my wrist break out within a day or two.

I’m still on an iPhone 12 and a Series 4 watch. There was absolutely nothing in the presentation and marketing that makes me want to upgrade.

The current gen Watches already have always on display so this isn’t new tech for Apple. It’s not enough to make me upgrade, though. I’m still a Luddite who’s ok pressing the lock button or lifting the phone to make the display come on.

Before jumping to extreme measures, try using a flat wooden coffee stir or toothpick and gently scraping around in the lightning port on the bottom of the phone. They’re prone to gathering lint in the port, more so if you’re a front pocket carrier like me, and the lint will keep the lightning...
