    What Pleases You?

Drove home today from Baton Rouge. I get to sleep in my own bed tonight and tomorrow night (hotel beds suck on so many levels) before heading to Dallas for four days.

    What Pleases You?

The have good sandwiches, tasty salads, a great barbecue chicken pizza, but my favorite is the meatza (basically meat lovers pizza) but they use good ingredients, make their own dough, and have jalapeño Tabasco sauce, all things most other places here don’t do.

    What Pleases You?

And I already witnessed some spooky shit tonight. Shannon and I were in our room for all of 15 minutes this evening. I climbed up on the bed with Shan to look at the hotel menu. I laid my phone down on the nightstand and put my wallet on top of my phone. A couple minutes later, I reached over...

    What Pleases You?

Sitting at the SkyBar of the Crescent Hotel sipping an Old Fashioned with a locally brewed beer on deck. Wifey’s back in the room watching tv {she came down with a cold Friday (negative covid test) but still wanted to make the trip} so I’m left to my own devices tonight. All work and no play...

    What Pleases You?

This time tomorrow, we’ll be on our way to the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, AR. We reserved Theodora’s room (supposedly haunted) for two nights. Shannon is looking forward to the ghost tour we’ll be going on and seeing if anything spooky happens in our room. (Spoiler alert: ghosts aren’t...

    What Pleases You?

Spending the week in Baton Rouge. This is the 24th week and 111th day I’ve traveled for work this year. I seriously miss the days when I only had a single client to tend to and didn’t have to travel. Oh well, trying to make to most of it. It’s been a long day, however, Toby Keith knows how to...

    What Pleases You?

I drove just over 350 miles home from Addison, TX in 5 1/2 hours this morning. I feel your pain.
  12. Clinton McClure

    What Pleases You?

I’m leaving the Dallas metro in my rear view mirror and heading back to sane central Arkansas in the morning.

    What Pleases You?

The forecast through Sunday. Being outside for any length of time with our humidity will feel like breathing through a wet sock.

    What Pleases You?

Something I’ve never, ever seen. What kind of affluent city do you live in? Most delivery drivers here can only afford to drive old beaters because they’re all part time employees making about $11/hr.

    What Pleases You?

If the Rolls-Royce guy owns that Hooters…

    What Pleases You?

Yeah, there’s an overly pretentious steak house (Sullivan’s) a block away with a $95 ribeye. Makes you wonder… 🤔

    What Pleases You?

This gave me a good chuckle when I went out to eat after work yesterday while I was in Baton Rouge. I walked out of Hooters (don’t judge, they were three blocks from my hotel and the bacon cheeseburger is really tasty) to my car and suddenly noticed the one parked next to mine was a Rolls-Royce...

    What Pleases You?

Finding karaoke bars while traveling out of state for work. (Yep, I love to sing karaoke.) Tonight, I was able to sing out some stress and frustrations in Baton Rouge before I drive back to Little Rock tomorrow morning.

    What Pleases You?

That after being away from home for 10 days and suffering a bout of Covid and being quarantined to my hotel room for a week, I finally get to go home tomorrow.

    What Pleases You?

Good cheeseburgers there, at least at the location next door to my hotel. The Philly steak sandwich doesn’t have much flavor though.

    What Pleases You?

Being out of town on business this week and I’m eating dinner at Hooters. It’s like Gotham City: It always brings a smile to my face.

    What Pleases You?

    Ice storm mini-fridge.

    What Pleases You?

Well, as usual, my movie watching plans got waylaid and I haven’t set foot in my HT all day. I’m just gonna go to bed so I can hurry up and get this day over with. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    What Pleases You?

Christmas Eve 40oz! Wifey didn’t feel good today so she took some medicine and is laying down getting some rest. I’m about to go off to the HT and watch my new copy of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves on 4K UHD from Arrow UK, followed by Wargames on 4K UHD. I watched Pulp Fiction on 4K UHD...

    What Pleases You?

I’m pleased that I’m finally home tonight after 19 straight days of out of state work. On Sunday, Dec 4th, I drove to Baton Rouge and spent the week. Friday, around noon, I drove from Baton Rouge to San Antonio (hence my instant hatred for Houston rush hour traffic) where I spent the last 12...

    What Pleases You?

The chocolate covered Bavarian long John is the Cadillac of donuts.

    What Pleases You?

Yes and they’re not good. Pain is a part of wings. 😂
  28. Clinton McClure

    What Pleases You?

Not a fan of garlic or sriracha. If I’m putting sauce on pizza, I use green Tabasco. For anything else that needs hot sauce, it’s original Cholula or Tapatío.
  29. Clinton McClure

    What Pleases You?

Greedo never even gets off a shot here.

    What Pleases You?

Back at the cantina. I’m in a dark booth in the very back corner of the room where I can see everything. Feeling like Han Solo.
