I am assuming we will see a DTDVD JLU at some point. I hope they keep the team together. I am ambivalent (but still somewhat interested) in the Superman DTD this summer. They recast the voice of Lex Luthor. Makes me a little skeptical. It's not the entire team doing it. Probably will be the same...
Thanks to a mate with a DVR and a DVD-R, I watched Destroyer last night. With mixed feelings, as it's the last JLU. Some thoughts, no spoilers: 1) It is a fairly satisfying ending. But not nearly as great as the S2 final arc (which did not include the brilliant "Epilogue", which they should...
Over the credits, they showed scenes of the series finale from next week (I'd assume). An Apokoliptic invasion of Earth, with the heroes and villains fighting the army. I'd assume a nice little rematch of Darkseid and Superman.
Looks to be superhero action wall-to-wall. Can't wait.
I have heard rumors of a JLU movie being considered. That might take the sting out of it. But I'm just happy the creators had the freedom to deliver a show as unbelievably good as JLU was. I am sad we're losing it, but glad as heck we got the final season :)
todd, If you like Whedonverse voices...tonight was your night. Morena Baccarin (Inara) - Black Canary Amy Acker (Fred) - Huntress Gina Torres (Zoe) - Vixen Juliet Landau (Drusilla) - Tara Fun episode, if a bit silly. But nice to feature the women, and let Wonder Woman be Wonder Woman...
It was a comedy episode. It was worth it for Luthor(as Flash)'s line in the bathroom: "I have no idea who this is." And Rosenbaum doing Lex was cute. Not their best, but done with wit and humor. Take care, Chuck
I thought parts of it were quite good, but overall, it was fairly "Saturday morning". For lack of a better word, it was light on subtlety. I also caught some of the Marvel nods (I also thought Captain America and Hulk). I thought the General (a recurring character with a GREAT voice, JK Simmons...
With only 8 episodes left for us :frowning: It was a great episode. The Whedonverse continues to invade JLU as voices (Alexis Denisof was Mirror Master). Nice to see an episode feature the Flash. I agree with todd and Sam...losing this show is going to hurt. It's really a fantastic show with...
Sam is officially correct. CN's little JLU site lists new JLU episodes at 10:30 PM (EST) TONIGHT, next week, and the week after. Just a heads up. Tonight is a Flash episode :)
We are on S5. S3 and S4 are both tied together as a mega-season of sorts. I have seen the 4 episodes from the phantom S5 and they were promising. March 21 is when both JL S1 (JL S1 and S2 were before the Unlimited moniker...they focus on the big 7) and Batman Beyond S1 come out. Good day...
I expected the last season info. CN has their head up their ass, as usual. They canned Samurai Jack right when it received Emmys. DVD sales will be good, so just let them finish the current season and move on.
I also wondered why the Tivo didn't get anything. Great way to, uhhh, this makes no sense. Whatever...that's why I Tivo them. CN is clueless. Take care, Chuck
I don't mind what Dini and Timm (and great team) are doing with the more unknown players in the DCU. They are great fun to watch. The first three episodes were excellent, but the 4th was the fiurst truly great episode of the year. I agree with Jerome and David...the WW transformation was...
After what I consider a landmark season (or two, depending on how you count it) for an animated show, JLU returns in September. Here's what I found out elsewhere: Now at 10:00 pm on Saturdays. Back to back episodes for the first two weeks Episode #27 - We Are Legion Original Airdate -...
