That's too bad. I started just to see how far I would get, no way will I finish my collection this year, maybe in 3-4 years. I think I may try again next year, but not work as hard at it.
I've started writing reviews, but not of everything, and lately it has been mostly theatrical releases. Please take a look at my blog, I try to update it with soemthing daily.
Finally had a few days where I didn't watch anything. A few factors led to this: my PC died, I cleaned out the room and alphacatized my disks. Yard work... I still have a good pace going. may have another coupla slow days when my PC parts finally arrive and i can build my new rig. How's...
I'm keeping track to see how far I get, but there is absolutely no way I'll get through my nearly 1300 and still growing collection in one year, maybe 2?
I'm currently at 167, 8 of which were borrowed disks. I can't remember the last time I rented anything. I remember working in a video shop back in the mid-late 90's (pre-DVD). I was bringing home tapes all the time! got turned on to some real good movies by blindly taking things home with me.
Thought maybe I'd resurrect the discussion here! My luck has been holding, haven't missed a day yet. I have removed my theater visits and moved them to a post in the 2004 Film list thread. Figured I'd keep my viewing in thier proper places.
This was a wonderful series! Add another convert to the list. Ya know there's a reason this series sold so well, and the studio paid attention. Can't wait for new eps of this series!
How's everyone making out? My luck has held out, I've watched at least 1 disk a day all year. Latest title: Ed Wood: SE. Bottom line: Fantastic, if you can find it!
Nice idea, Scotty. I was thinking of joining the movie challege in the Movies forum, but I didn't quite get everything they were doing there. So, I have added all my theater trips to my list. I color coded and have separate counts for: Film titles watched Non-film titles watched Films seen...
I count them as they are listed in my DVDP profile. Ex: Indiana Jones has separate listings so I would enter each movie as a separate entry. Dble feature disks only count after watching both features. I don't have Godfather but if I did, I believe DVDP has that as a sinbgle entry, so i would...
I've been a bit obsessive lately. I don't think my luck will hold out, especiually when better weather arrives, plus the rate my collection grows at.....
Wow, still haven't missed a day! my luck has been holding. Problem is, the collection keeps growing.... No way am I gonna make it through everything.
I think I'm gonna burn out, or at least slow down pretty quick. Most of the stuff I've been watching lately has not had much in the way of extras. When I get to stuff like AQ and LOTR:EE's that'll slow me down. Besides I am also a TV and concert addict.... So much to do....
Come Adam! There's no way I'm going to make it with over 1000 titles, just not possible. I'm just having fun seeing how far I'm going to make it! Gives me that added incentive to watch as opposed to watch the collection sitting looking pretty while it grows!
I added the star ratings to my watched titles, I was going to rate the DVD overall as well, but I think that would be a bit much, so I just left it at the movie. I also added the DVD profiler collection number, the whole list is linked in my sig. Question, is there a way to indent test on...
Looks like tomorrow will be the first day this year that I won't have watched at least 1 DVD.... And I was doing so well... Anyway, what does everyone think about having star :star: ratings on the disks they've watched? I see a few people doing it, and I am thinking of adding it to mine...
So.... How's everybody making out? I have been on quite a roll, but don't think I'll be able to keep it up, plus with all the new purchases.... I'm never gonna make it!
I'm counting by title as opposed to disk, as I have dble features which I don't think should count until you watched both. As for TV, I am including them, but counting separately and will add 1 when I complete the set, unless it is separate disks, ex: Stargate SG-1 each disk counts as 1, Friends...
I made my initial post and I make updates to that one with the ones I watched and the title. It seems people have various ways to keep track, click on the link in my sig to see mine.:D
Mark, That is one heckuva collection! I thought I had a lot. I can't believe how many I've already watched this year! but I still will never make it through everything.
I've been updating my initial post, it's linked in my sig. I'm not doing anything specific like a-z or category, I'm just going to watch what I want at the moment, I can always check back here to see if I've watched it yet or not.
Here's a question, I only appeared on this forumthis year, and I decided to check the 2003 challenge. It doesn't appear anyone kept up a list? Whassup with that? Did no one step to the challenge? I doubt I'll make it but, I'll see how far I get....
