I agree, Remus Lupin sounds exactly right, but I always saw his as being younger yet older, a young character who's graying well before his time. As for Trelawney, yeah, I guess what they have on screen does fit what the book describes, although I'm not sure it will work as well on screen as...
That trailer was beyond bad-ass. I gave Trelawney more of a gypsy feel then the trailer looked, and less distortion from the glasses, but there were some incredible looking moments. This movie is going to rock. If Columbus never touches the HP movies, and they can stay at the caliber this looks...
Good point Adam, I forgot these movies were being made in England, where the weak dollar would really drive prices up. It's the same thing with LotR as I mentioned earlier, inflation, a weak US economy, coupled with a weak dollar means the money doesn't go as far as it used to.
And LotR was made several years ago as well. Jackson has said that in today's economy and the way costs are now, he couldn't make LotR for anywhere near $300.
Very doubtful. first, the obvious mistake that Firenze is the Divination teacher, not DatDA is bad. Second, mudblood is such a strongly used word in the books (essentially the wizarding equivalent of the n word), I highly doubt Rowling would use it in a title, given the word any sense of legitamicy.
Adam, that's an interesting choice. Just goes further to confirm that the new director is a good choice, Columbus would NEVER have had the guts to drop such a major thing like Quidditch, even it it has already been done really well in the first two movies and would be redundant by now. The more...
One question though, if they knock Quidditch out, are they going to get rid of the House Cup competition again also? Because Gryffindor won again, and the book directly attributes it to them winning the Quidditch Championship.
Yeah, well, I had a boost on my free time that day. I was at work, which back then always meant plenty of time to do whatever. And before you ask, that was back when I was working at Six Flags Fiesta Texas as a Looney Tune after my senior year of HS. Fun job, hot as hell though. But the best...
Agreed, this movie is shaping up to be head and shoulders above the first two. Going to be a good pair of summers. Order of Phoenix this summer, and the movie for PoA next. I can live with that. Only question now is with OoP being 1/3 again as long as Goblet, can I keep up my streak of...
