Williams' leitmotif-infused scores have done film a disservice in the same way that Lucas and Spielberg did film a disservice by inventing the blockbuster (Star Wars and Jaws). While there's something to be said for a subtle score that perfectly compliments the action on screen while not working...
Hmm, I took a simpler assumption, that Jason would be killed along with the rest of the mutants. It was obvious that Stryker had no affection for him, I figured that sacrificing Jason to kill all mutants was a trade he'd be happy to make.
Great review and a disc I can't wait to give a spin. It even comes out on my birthday, how wonderfully convenient. As to those asking if there will be an X-men 2.5, I highly doubt it. First this disc is obviously far more in depth then the original X-men disc, and the supplements line up...
