That five for a buck deal is calling my name. I’m a member but haven’t bought anything in ages, and now y’all have me thinking about canceling, rejoining, and catching up on a few of the recent releases that are actually desirable. I have probably asked in past years, but what’s the best way to...
So, the DMC still has a "Customer Service" line (800-362-4587) listed on their website, but having frustrated myself to the nth degree attempting to find a way to reach a person, I'm left with the impression that that luxury is no longer available.
I'm also not getting a reply to a question...
Thanks, David.
This was via snail mail, and there's no code or any number that looks similar to those you posted.
The deal is 5 for a penny with free shipping, then buy 3 within two years. You can add a sixth for $11.95 which reduces the future three to two, and one more for $8.95 which doesn't.
I've been a member for a long time, and have received one of their mailed offers to "restart" the membership as new and get the opening deal again -- which would be fine if there were even five movies in the brochure that I wanted, let alone a sixth or seventh at bargain prices. If there were...
So, if nothing else, that was a good wake-up call for people like Yrs Truly who were a little behind in their DMC movie ordering. Those latest live action catalog Blu-rays are now on the way, and I'll log those reward codes immediately.
The deal is: there has to be some kind of points...
SAME HERE. Same dates. Same thing exactly.
I'm at 10K and am not going to let those go away. Fortunately, I hadn't yet ordered the latest catalog Blu-rays, so those will save the day. But for how long? How much will they tighten the screws on a regular basis, now that they've begun?
My only experience with their customer service was when I had some problem with a mailing or something several years ago. I picked up the phone and called them, and it was taken care of on the spot.
I'm mystified by what I'm reading here.
The way Disney Movie Club operates is the same clearly defined, up front way that record and book and movie clubs have operated since at least the 1960s.
Several months ago I got an email from them, offering something to the effect of what David (I think) alluded to above; i.e., some kind of cancelling and renewing, or rejoining. I ignored it. Which was probably a silly thing to do. Right?
The website has been a sluggish and not too well designed one since I've known it. You just have to suck it up and slog through it.
I need to watch for those free shipping deals.
My two cents:
I joined in December 2008 specifically to be able to grab a copy of the Walt Disney Treasures Dr. Syn, just as inventories at stores had been depleted. That was a life saver (though as it turned out, someone also gifted me with one for Christmas, bless their little hearts!). I...
