Ken, I hope Pioneer fixes the 563A player. Now there is a cheap DVD Toshiba player that is being raved about in regards to its CD sound over at the asylum. Pages and pages about that. Of course they will probably spend $1000 to mod it! :D

I guess I didn't explain "my cheap token universal" players comment enough. Ken, you are right that it is the number of titles available (and a serious lack of good marketing) as the number 1 reason for hi rez lack of market penetration. Consumers have been able to buy DVD-A and SACD players...

Good audio is NOT cheap IMO. All of these sub $200 universals will not give you the true capability of DVD-A OR SACD. Sure, they have both formats, but you will not get many true audiophiles to buy these players. On the other hand, they cost much more than the $80 to $120 dvd player MOST average...
