You're right. It's pretty annoying when my son corrects one of my, ahem, original quotations. Cees

Nicholas, (The guy you all know as Santa Claus is called Sinterklaas in Dutch, which is where you got the name from. Proper name: St. Nicholas. Brings presents around December 5th. This time he rode early. :) ) The SW4 2004 Revisited arrived! Thank you, and it was in excellent shape, even...

Well, it seems your fourth disc is spoken for too. (While my download process was slowing down more and more by what can only be described as increasing obstruction by RapidShare, I received a PM from Nicholas taking away my last remaining resistance. Which wasn't too difficult to do. :) )...

Because I live overseas, that deal would be unfair to you in my case. I will certainly try and see what I can do myself first. If it "only" takes me four or five days, it won't be a problem (and not be slower anyway :) ). Cees

That looks exciting. Unfortunately, it's not easy to download those 81 files from fanedit.org , because Rapidshare forces me to open a Premium Account (or else I can only download 1 file per hour) - and the means of paying for a Premium Account are scarce (PayPal, wiring, or use "retailers" in...

Not really trying to make you change your mind (which I'm sure you won't anyway) :), but: (1) What *you* (or *I*) like or not shouldn't influence the plot order. (2) I would never show more than 2 films of that series to a kid < 8 within a year. At 7 or 8 III should be acceptable to be shown...

Hmmm. I think I would show her I-VI in that order. This may something I finally have to decide if I would have grandchildren, but I think it's not a bad choice for someone totally unspoiled. And I can see it work. (I will tell in a comment, though, that Han actually shot first - or...

Good point. In fact it makes me believe that from now on every youngster should have his/her first confrontation with the saga in the 1-6 sequence. Trying to let them have the same experience we did - including a wait for more than 15 years for TPM, is not realistic. In our time the prequels...

AOTC also has the absolute pivotal line, and most important moment in the whole saga, when Anakin vows he will not ever stand by again and see anyone kill someone he really loves and feels related to. This vow will eventually change the fate of that galaxy - twice. One decisive. Cees

Ah, I see. "Don't be too proud of this cinematical terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a trilogy is insignificant next to the power of the Whills." Cees

Nkosi, I can only give my personal opinion, which is given in short in post #1423 and #1428 (previous page) already. Basically: Anakin Skywalker was the One, who's destiny was to save that Galaxy (and thus kill the Dark Lord). There, then, at that specific moment, he did it because he started...

Good points. Ever since I saw ESB in the cinema, back in 1980, I believed that Star Wars was a saga about Anakin Skywalker. And I'm glad Lucas wanted it to be that way too. In my (humble, of course :) ) opinion, Anakin can only be understood fully if you distinguish between his logical...

"Return": someone who has gone away as such and returns. Can only apply to Anakin in that story. "The" Jedi: a specific Jedi, namely the one who returns. The ONE who ... returns. And makes a difference. As for Luke, Luke would have been dead. The saga of Anakin Skywalker can very well end...

(OT: yes - on both. Kees is how my mother would still spell it. Spelling it with a C is what I - and others - did, mainly because people often don't understand my first initial otherwise. Once, and certainly in the first Dutch colony on Manhattan, "everyone" seemed to be called "Jan" or...

The ONLY reason Leia became Luke's sister, IMO, was to distract the audience of the real meaning of Yoda's "No, there is another". And it helped getting rid of the Han/Luke "rivalry" as a byproduct. Cees
