My wife and I watched the FAMILY AFFAIR Christmas Episode tonight and THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY Christmas episode tonight. I always thought the FAMILY AFFAIR episode was exceptional.
Tonight is Rudolph, then tomorrow we watch the '94 version of Miracle on 34th St. In odd-numbered years we watch the '47 version. I think they are both equally as good, but for different reasons.
I keep telling myself that the lone Christmas episode from season 1 of The Andy Griffith Show doesn't justify buying the Blu-ray set. So far I am holding out and remain satisfied with my DVDs.
As I get older and my perception of time seems to speed up, I find myself having to alternate watching my favorite Christmas episodes (and movies) every year, otherwise I get burned out on them because it seems like I just watched them a few months ago. Anyone else experience this?
