I just got my copy and watched it last night...What the Film Foundation and BFI and the rest of the support team was able to accomplish was a mind blower!! Knowing that many scenes are with the smoke filled rooms of the Moulin Rouge, they were still able to open up the scenes with vibrant color...

Agreed, it just might be that "Rose Colored" mindset. For me, once I saw the advantages of dvd over tapes being eaten in the machine, a few times...the glasses fallaway, at least for me.

I just don't see the point, with a better format...but again that's just me!!

Agreed to a point...yes, still producing DVDs is like a company still making music cassetts or VHS, those formats have had their day and should be discontinued. Inferrer formats should always be retired for the improved and superior formats. Continuing to produce them is only a money drain to...
