When pigs fly ----this successful release for them is a done deal. Thats the way all companies should handle a problem. Ignore the outcry, and complaints from consumers, collect your money, and move on:angry:
Same here. Minus the problems (which is why the set still has to be recalled) the video quality unfortunately is what it is. Slightly better than the Sony DVD set from a 12' viewing distance. The closer I get to the screen the more things fall apart.
If I were a reviewer, I would absolutely...
Or Sony changed their mind at canceled the deal, and after seeing all those healthy pre-order sales Mill Creek was forced into a rock and a hard place scenario (hence all the delays). Trying to salvage the project with deceptive intentions.
Just a theory, but your idea certainly is a likely...
I watch the series on a 65" set from about 12 feet away, and it looks fine, but being so close to take the photos the interlace issues were entirely more noticeable and can certainly be seen as "jaggies" from my pics magnified.
I hope Mill Creek will just issue a statement, or recall regarding...

Sorry about the angle. Images are in no way frame perfect.
It is what it is. Upsacale with a bit more color vibrancy, and the interlaced video image that does more harm than good. By the way My Sony Z9D has no 720P option so the image presented on my old Sony HD TV has a better...
I'm going to post screenshots from random episodes on my DVD and BD later, and let people here decide if, or how much better they BD set looks. Have patience.
At this point, I wouldn't even doubt that. Especially some of the problems reported are just fine on my set.
This is without a doubt the strangest BD release I have ever encountered since I started collecting discs.
It is better, that is why I'm puzzled as to all the reviews stating that the DVD sets look better.
I know it could (and does) look better in HD, but the poor image quality reviews have me curious.
I can't stand Amazon's policy for lumping together the BD set, and the old DVD set reviews. 95% of the one star reviews are for the DVD set issued years ago.
Mill Creek had another Sony property on BD. Charlie's Angels, which was just fine. Their many Universal tiles on BD were decent enough as well (no subtitles though). I'm not sure what the deal is here.
I just checked, and indeed the audio is defective over the time you mention. The buzzing is loud, and ruins the episode.
The mix up audio on the other two episodes played fine on my disc.
I was willing to overlook the non-true HD video image, but the mistakes popping up are a non negotiable...
Your player should auto upconvert to 1080P. I haven't had time to check on my normally used BD player, and was instead using an Xbox One S. I'm sure it was just a technical issue to adjust in the settings.
I just compared the episode "Jeannie Breaks the Bank" (very funny) on Tubi, and BD. Yup the Tubi representation is sharp as can be, and the BD is softer. Color remains about equal on both. Really too bad that one is better than the other. the 1080i BD is just plain odd. I'm not sure what...
It is difficult. On one hand the art on the discs is nice (better than CBS dull grey discs for example) and the video quality is better than the DVD sets. I haven't noticed any macroblocking at all, a complaint I have heard about over compression which I have not seen (average 22 MBPS). The...
Hmm. Very mixed on this set. I love that the video quality is better than the SD DVD, but not as good as it could have been. Subtitles are a plus, 1080i is not. I'm getting weird motion processing on my tv with the interlaced signal, and haven't had time to fiddle with it to fix it...
I pre ordered this from this thread the minute it went up. I aint f&^%$g around anymore. If I'm remotely interested, and it is offered, I'm buying it. We need more classic TV on BD, and I have to help that cause.
