SONY KV-14LT1U Trinitron CRT TV stuck in standby.
Had a similar problem with a Samsung tv recently and it turned out that several capacitors on the power board had blown. The board was replaced under warranty but the problem was well documented and the parts could be had from Radio Shack for about $10.00. IIRC Dell had a similar problem...- Brian Sharp
