I am at best a casual SW fan, but seeing stuff like this which would seem to be a bit of an obscure homage to the OT just speaks to the depth of knowledge that Favreau, Filoni, and the rest of the crew bring to the table.

I have not yet tested it myself, but I just read a post on AVS saying that Mando when played via an AppleTV 4K is now working in Atmos. It was always flagged for Atmos, but it only played in 5.1.
I just noticed something I had previously missed. Those concept art images that play when the credits start are not flat....the backgrounds move independently of foreground elements.
Perhaps a bit of an homage to Walt’s multi-plane camera animation technique.
The opening sequence resolved with a bit of a nod to Top Gun. Mando should have said to the kid “I’ll hit the brakes....he’ll fly right by”.
