Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

Good post, Doug! I picked up on all of the nods to A New Hope, but I wasn't as disappointed as some are. To me, it took me back to the days of the original trilogy where now I am eagerly anticipating the next movie. I could not say that with the prequel trilogy. I really wanted to like...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

As a fan, I don't have an issue about this. I saw the original trilogy as destroying the Emperor, not the destruction of the Empire. As current events tell us, you can defeat the head of an organization, but there will always be someone the "pick up the ball and run with it".

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

I brought this up as my first post in this thread. It was revealed during the Snoke scene.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

So, how was the 5th viewing? When is the 6th scheduled for? I am so jealous because I won't be able to get in my 2nd viewing until after the holidays.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

In my opinion, no. I really hope it isn't that way because I would hate to see that Han "sacrificed" himself to Luke's son. I can understand it being his own son, but not Luke's.

She, also, could have been taught some basics at a very early age to which she may have forgotten over time, but was able to recall them.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

Remember, Luke came about after all the Jedi have gone. Only Obi-Wan and Yoda remained. At that point, the topic of marriage was probably not even a thought to teach Luke.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

Just like some other members on this forum, I quit coming to the forum until I had a chance to see the movie without being spoiled. I have been around here long enough to know that even newer members will put spoiler information in the thread topics which really aggravated me. It wasn't...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

I guess I am just surprised of people jumping into a discussion midway without reading the first post.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

In regards to the parentage of Rey, and something that was mentioned several pages ago was the Republic fighter helmet that she was putting on. Some were suggesting that it was just another artifact that she found while scavenging. I had a different take on that moment. I got a sense of Rey...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

I am not sure if you were late to the overall discussions for The Force Awakens (thread titled: Star Wars Ep, VII Megathread: The Force Awakens) I had been following the original thread that was started on November 5, 2012, and had generated 3683 posts over 183 pages. One of the sites...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

I finally saw the movie last night, and just started reading this thread. Up through the first 8 pages of this thread, the comments were suggesting that Kylo Ren's parentage wasn't revealed until much later in the movie. I could have sworn that his parentage was revealed towards the beginning...
