As a fan, I don't have an issue about this. I saw the original trilogy as destroying the Emperor, not the destruction of the Empire. As current events tell us, you can defeat the head of an organization, but there will always be someone the "pick up the ball and run with it".

In my opinion, no. I really hope it isn't that way because I would hate to see that Han "sacrificed" himself to Luke's son. I can understand it being his own son, but not Luke's.

She, also, could have been taught some basics at a very early age to which she may have forgotten over time, but was able to recall them.

Remember, Luke came about after all the Jedi have gone. Only Obi-Wan and Yoda remained. At that point, the topic of marriage was probably not even a thought to teach Luke.

I finally saw the movie last night, and just started reading this thread. Up through the first 8 pages of this thread, the comments were suggesting that Kylo Ren's parentage wasn't revealed until much later in the movie. I could have sworn that his parentage was revealed towards the beginning...
