All movies PERIOD require some suspension of disbelief and as far as I'm concerned there's nothing wrong with that. If I wanted "real life" I wouldn't choose to watch a movie, I'd just watch the news.
I pre-ordered my IMAX tickets on Fandango 4 days before the showing just to be safe. When I got there the theater was completely full and I probably wouldn't have gotten in if I hadn't ordered the tickets ahead of time.
The score in TDK is one of the most gripping I've heard in a long time and it resonated with me like very few others do. Absolutely awesome work by Zimmer and Howard. :emoji_thumbsup:
That's right. I remember the line being in the film now during that video where he's torturing the copycat Batman. As for the picture, if you look closely enough you can see his two gloved fingers holding whatever that is. Looks like a black pickle or something.......well, dirty. :D
Here's the photo that made the rounds awhile back: I never have figured out what the hell he's holding in this picture. I do, however, remember him saying the "I'm a man of my word" line in one of the trailers.
Since you said this is going to go down as "one of the most over-hyped movies in history" in the review thread, I'll respond to that statement here. Movies are only "over-hyped" if they don't actually deliver and this is one of the few films that does indeed live up to the hype. It's the most...
Good to know I'm not the only one that noticed the subtle changes between trailers and finished film. None of them really make a difference in the grand scheme of things, but if there was one shot I could have Nolan put back in the film it would be The Joker limping along with the machine gun...
I don't know if this has been discussed here yet or not, but did anyone notice that a lot of shots from the trailers were either missing or altered in the final film? I know this happens quite frequently with movies, but there were some really awesome shots that didn't make the final cut and I...
Just saw TDK again last night and it was just as good, if not better the second time around. Like any film, you can "nitpick" it to death if you want to, but for me that takes the fun out of watching movies. They're meant to be entertaining and over-analyzing kind of defeats the purpose in my...
I finally got around to watching the prologue on the Blu-Ray tonight and HOLY BALLS!!! The picture and sound quality for those 6 min. may be the best content I've experienced on Blu-Ray yet. When TDK is released on the format it should be THE reference disc by which all others are measured...
Oh my goodness, what a complete tool. I didn't know Rex Reed was even still alive let alone reviewing movies, but after reading that I'm glad I haven't heard much about him in the last few years. Clearly he's not all there. In a somewhat related category(since Reed also writes for a NY...
I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but 3 of the 4 current negative reviews at RT are from Time Out New York, New York Magazine and The New Yorker. I guess all the talk about New Yorkers being pissed that Nolan filmed in Chicago instead of using their city as Gotham was true after all. It's...
