I respectfully disagree, Ron. The final 8 or so hours of the show were fairly weak, but on the whole S7 absolutely blows away the pathetic S6. It's a shame the writers apparently ran out of steam at the end because for a large part of the season it seemed like they were on track for one of the...
Well, here's my take. On the whole, this season was a million times better than Season 6 and after the first 12-14 hours it was shaping up to possibly be the best season of the show EVER. Then, two major things occurred that killed the momentum: Jack got infected with the virus and Tony's turn...
Him going postal on Garafalo was absolutely priceless. I didn't find the episode as a whole all that enthralling, but that brief moment was gold. :emoji_thumbsup:
I still don't see why people have such a problem w/ Tony being bad. As I said before, the gov't. put him in prison, killed his wife, tried to kill him and has done a bunch of other heinous things in his life. It's completely understandable that he'd "snap" and go bad. It might be viewed as a...
I don't have a big problem with it. In Tony's eyes, the Gov't. put him in prison, killed his wife, tried to kill him and did a bunch of other heinous things over the years so he's got reasons for turning to the dark side. If anything, it shows that someone like him can be broken while someone...
I have to eat crow now because a buddy of mine predicted Tony's turn and I said there's no way he was actually bad. With his actions tonight, I think it's clear that he is. I just wonder if Jonas was talking about him when he made those comments to the Prez. As for Kim, I thought she was fine...
I've stopped watching the previews for the next episode so I'm going in "cold turkey" about what will transpire tonight. Can't wait for it!!! :emoji_thumbsup:
Yeah, I guess it's been so long since I watched the first couple seasons that I've forgotten how good she was in the role. I think I may go back and re-watch S1 as soon as this season is over.
Nina was really only bad for like two or three episodes so I don't really count her in the pantheon of 24 villains. Her reveal was probably the best surprise moment in the show's history(up to this point at least), but I still can't classify her as a great villain.
I've always kinda wondered what this show would be like without Jack(or at least without him in a lead role) and after the last couple episodes I can honestly say that it hasn't missed a beat even with him in the background. Tony is doing awesome in the Jack role and Voight's character has...
Yeah, I personally don't care for the Olivia subplot, but everything else about this episode was fantastic IMHO. Very intense stuff, especially the last 10 min. with the FBI/Starkwood showdown. I have no idea how Jack is going to defeat a virus, but if anyone can kick biology's ass it's Jack...
I dug that too. I don't know if that was supposed to be a nod to Indy or not, but it's the first thing I thought of. ;) This episode was a little like last week's in that it started out kinda slow, but really kicked into gear in the second half. Good stuff. :emoji_thumbsup:
Ha ha....I was thinking the exact same thing. Tony's sitting at a cafe having a cappuccino while Jack's about to get his ass blown off by an assassin!!! :D
Yeah, this episode was a little bit of a snoozer for the first 45 minutes or so, but HOLY HELL that last 15 min. was badass!!! Quinn chasing Jack, then Jack bulldozing the trailer and finally the face-off between the two was 24 at its' absolute best. :emoji_thumbsup:
I loved it when Voight's character said "Quentin's good.....and Bauer's good too". By the way, when Quentin showed up at the hospital did anyone else think Gordon Ramsay was doing a guest spot on 24?
Looks like Jack won't have to worry about it now. ;) Another awesome episode. As I said before, I don't care how unrealistic or improbable this season is, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. :emoji_thumbsup:
Speaking of that, I've been watching reruns of season 5 on the Crime & Investigation Network(some new channel they just added to Dish a few weeks back) and man I'd forgotten how awesome that season was. I've loved every season(except S6 of course), but I think S5 might have been the show's best...
Do you really want to go down that road here? Obviously there are different mindsets on this subject and it's probably best that it not be discussed in a thread about a TV show which is supposed to be entertainment(even though some people apparently have a tough time with that concept). Oh...
