    Huh, I didn't think anything of John's leap other than "wow, he really cares for his fiance". I felt sorry for the guy - he seems like he's pretty cool, does right by his woman, and then she ditches him on their wedding day for an old flame :)

    See, this is why I could never really take Venom seriously: it's a story about man's underwear swearing vengeance against him for jilting it and running back to his original, safe underwear. Even by Marvel Comics standards, that's just funny to me :D
