if I were John Nash, and Edwin's additional biographic info is accurate, I'd be ECSTATIC with the way the film portrays me. After all, it's practically a whitewash of the nastier sides of Nash's personality.
So it doesn't surprise me at all that Nash liked the portrayal.

Did Howard say ABM was "the true story of John Nash", or that it was "based on the true story"? I don't want to be a nitpicker, but that is a material difference, to me. And if it's the former, not the latter, I understand your problem with ABM. (I'm still impressed...
