CMT aired a "preview" tonight consisting of the first hour of the two-hour Season 5 premiere. It was wonderful, a return to the careful character work and beautiful music of Season 1, and leaving the soapiness of Seasons 2-4 behind.

I'm still really enjoying this one. I hope Deacon finds out Maddie's his daughter sooner rather than later, though. There's a lot of interesting material to be mined from that.
