The CETON Digital Cable Quad Tuner PC Card and why you should seriously consider it

Just went through my second install with the Ceton InfiniTV card. The first time was with Verizon FiOS, a great service that doesn't use switched video. But at the beginning of the month, I moved to a city that has granted Time Warner Cable an exclusive franchise. The installers came today...

The CETON Digital Cable Quad Tuner PC Card and why you should seriously consider it

Talk to your cable provider. You're CableCARD probably isn't validating correctly. Also, check your anti-virus software. When I had McAfee installed, the Ceton card gave me real problems. Since I dumped it for Avast, everything's been smooth sailing.

The CETON Digital Cable Quad Tuner PC Card and why you should seriously consider it

You couldn't do this because of the nature of Windows Media Center. When WMC isn't loaded, it's not on any channel. The CETON Digital Cable Quad Tuner PC Card and why you should seriously consider it

Right now I'm planning to mainly use it as a DVR. I just drag and drop the DVR-MS files on my WDTV Hub and watch them through that. More cumbersome than if I had a genuine extender like an XBox 360, but it suits my needs. So far every channel I've tried has been flagged copy freely; if I hit...

The CETON Digital Cable Quad Tuner PC Card and why you should seriously consider it

Had one of these under the tree this morning. Installation was a nightmare -- Verizon messed up the CableCARD activation, and then my graphics card driver had issues with Windows Media Center -- but now that it's up and running I'm loving it.
