I have that Muppet Movie LD, issued by Magnetic Video in 1981- I'll have to figure out how to post a screenshot (I can record it to DVD and post that from my computer). I have the CED too but that's zoomed-in so you don't see the puppeteers on that.
It seems that their latest releases are labeled "Full Screen" with no explanation underneath, and no regard to whether it's a pan and scan version of a 2.35 movie, or something that was shot for video in 1.33 and is actually SUPPOSED to be shown that way. Before, there were indicators underneath...
To use one MGM DVD as an example, I read in Video Watchdog that Texas Chainsaw Massacre II is open-matte, and the final shot in the movie is ruined as you can see a car driving by on the bottom of the screen in a scene that's supposed to be in the middle of nowhere.
