I can't even see Jar Jar and Gollum being on the same page. One was a cartoon and the other was a living being. Gollum is one of the greatest cgi creations since Jurassic Park, IMO

I went and saw it again yesterday for the third time and it was sold out at a matinee. Couple of things I picked out on this viewing that really stuck with me. - Gollum struggling with the rope and complaining that Elves twisted it. Nice touch. - The battering ram coming up the walk pushing...

PJ's cameo was great, I think he nailed that orc. The movie was excellent and a really quick 3 hours. Can't wait to see it again.

I will spoilerize the end of the movie here... Dont read if you don't want to know.... The movie ends shortly after the Helm's Deep battle and before Sam, Frodo and Gollum climb the stairs to Cirith Ungol. This means no Shelob and no Voice of Sauruman.
